In fall 2023, we decided to pack {almost} everything we own into an RV and live unconventionally for a year. We’ve talked about it MANY times over the past ten years, and we finally decided, adventure awaits! So, here we are, crazy as ever, with what may be the best or worst decision we’ve ever made. Come along with us as we explore national parks, check out local eateries & breweries, test our sanity, homeschool on the road, live the ups & downs of RV life, and find as many adventures as possible.

All of our adventures include our five-year-old and one-year-old in tow, so when we recommend something, rest assured that it has been little kid tested and approved! We will also be honest with you if somewhere or something just wasn’t our favorite thing or wasn’t worth the cost. Our goal is to help you narrow down activities at a destination with limited time/budget and know what worked and what didn’t for young kids, so that you can have as stress-free of a trip as possible and save more time for making memories. We will also try to always include if a place is stroller friendly, as that can sometimes be a deal breaker for our crew, and we know it might be for yours too.

In this space, we will do our best to always be real with you, knowing that not every great adventure will go according to plan, because well…kids. We hope to help you to embrace the chaos of littles and try to keep making fun family memories despite the meltdowns, and then help you find a good local brewery to stop and have a beer to keep mom and dad from completely losing it.

We are a real family with real messes, and you will always find a little bit of humor here. We aren’t perfect and wouldn’t want to be - where’s the fun in that?! So sometimes, you will see beautiful photos here and sometimes you won’t because well, the tiny humans were probably having a meltdown and a perfect pic for the blog just didn’t happen.

Welcome to our hot mess express - we hope our adventures in chaos, mixed with our tips & tricks of what we’ve learned along the way, help to inspire you to spend more time exploring. Just remember, 365 days are going to go by whether you enjoy the heck out of them or not, so be sure you enjoy the heck out of them! Sure, it’s hard to pack all of the things kids need and parent on the road, but you know what, it’s hard to parent at home too! So, get out and explore more. We’re here to help!
