Indoor essentials & Just for fun

Now, let’s go inside! Indoor essentials are not much different than you would need in sticks & bricks, but you do need less of them. We still use our cooking ware and utensils from home, but we would recommend getting unbreakable dishes as this will save a lot of stress & mess.

Indoor essentials

• Stick cordless vacuum - we use this multiple times a day and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s small enough to store easily, has multiple attachments for hard-to-reach places and is powerful.

• Steam mop or Swiffer mop - for daily maintenance, we use our stick cordless vacuum but every few weeks, we try to do a deeper clean on the RV and clean our floors with a steam mop.

• Unbreakable Microwave Safe Dishes - don’t take glass dishes into an RV, it won’t make the first trip!

• DVD player (and a few DVDs to keep in the RV) - you might not always have WiFI or cable and rainy days happen.

• Air purifier - RVs are not always made with the best materials for air quality, so we have a small air purifier to help.

• Cooking ware - this is what we have in our RV and we find that we are able to cook just about anything with these items - pots (one small & one large), skillets (one small & one large), baking sheet, 8x8 casserole dish, 9x13 casserole dish, silicone muffin pan, mixing bowl/hand mixer, plastic mixing bowl set, silverware set, cast iron dutch oven, small set of reusable containers (to store leftovers), coffee cups (2), a few other cups for water (brands like Rtic, Stanley, Yeti, etc. travel well).

• Linens - dish towels, blankets, sheets (we have 2 sets for each bed), bath towels (we have 2 per person, just for when it’s laundry day), hand towels/washcloths

Just for fun

• Travel USA Map Sticker - you’ve gotta keep track of where you’ve been and this is a fun way to do it!

• Plants! They are decorative, make your RV feel more like home AND are great for helping with indoor air quality.

• Rugs! This makes the RV feel a little more like home and adds a pop of color.
